As China’s blueberry industry expands rapidly, the demand for post-harvest automation and standardized packaging is on the rise. Recently, the Sequoia team visited a client's blueberry processing facility to oversee the commissioning of TOMRA’s automated sorting equipment and to test our PET fruit tubs in real production scenarios.
TOMRA’s state-of-the-art system integrates precision diameter recognition, weight grading, and automatic drop-in-box functions. These operations place high requirements on the strength, sealing performance, and dimensional accuracy of packaging containers. Sequoia’s PET tubs performed reliably on the high-speed line, maintaining their shape and providing smooth lid closure, thereby ensuring seamless integration with the automated sorting process.
With China's blueberry production transitioning from extensive to intensive models, standardized packaging has become a key differentiator to boost product value and enable entry into high-end retail channels.
