Entering the blueberry orchard, azure blue fruits hung abundantly on the branches, and farmers were meticulously harvesting. Our delegation learned about fruit ripeness screening criteria, picking time windows, and initial cleaning procedures, and was deeply impressed by the entire post-harvest management system at the production base. Through these discussions, we learned that high-value-added fruits like blueberries place extremely high demands on packaging speed and label clarity. Any delays in labeling or label detachment can negatively impact brand image and product sales.
Based on this industry pain point, our company quickly initiated a labeling system optimization process for blueberry packaging upon our return. The company recently officially introduced a new generation of labeling equipment on its production line. This equipment boasts high-recognition, high-speed, and highly accurate automatic labeling capabilities, significantly improving production efficiency while maintaining packaging integrity. Using sensor recognition and a visual positioning system, the equipment intelligently adapts to different fruit box sizes, ensuring each label is precisely positioned, without misplacement or duplicate application.
In addition to upgrading the labeling equipment, the company has also optimized its information exchange with the origin of the blueberries. By establishing a collaborative data collection point at the Yunnan blueberry base, the company is able to obtain real-time critical information such as fruit picking batches, transportation temperature records, and storage times, ensuring that label content fully matches the actual fruit traceability information. This ensures that every box of blueberries carries the true history of its origin. Consumers can scan the label to track the blueberries' origin and batch.
