Recently, the marketing and product development teams of Jiangmen Jiutai Plastic Products Co., Ltd. conducted a two-day field visit to a high-quality blueberry plantation in Yunnan. The mission aimed to gain a deeper understanding of customers' practical needs across various processes, including harvesting, sorting, storage, and transportation. The team also engaged in face-to-face discussions with customers on aspects such as blueberry-specific fruit box design, labeling, and packaging efficiency, providing first-hand information for subsequent product optimization and customized development.
Located on a high plateau, Yunnan offers a unique natural environment for blueberry cultivation. Because blueberries have a thin, juicy skin and are less resistant to pressure, customers place extremely high demands on the ventilation, load-bearing capacity, and transportation stability of their packaging containers. Whether the fruit boxes meet the preservation standards of different regional transportation chains directly impacts export quality and end-user sales image.
During the visit, the Jiutai Plastics team focused on observing the entire blueberry process, from picking from the branches, initial sorting, cold treatment, to final packaging and labeling. We discovered that different orchards prioritized different packaging details. For example, some high-end export customers prioritized neat label application and waterproofing, while some local retail customers prioritized a tight lid and portability.
Based on this valuable information, Jiutai Plastics made a series of technical adjustments to the original fruit box. We upgraded the box's bottom support structure, ventilation hole arrangement, and hem height to enhance its compressive strength and stacking stability. Furthermore, a standardized flat area was reserved for the labeling process, making labels easier to identify and more accurately positioned, meeting the requirements of batch application using automatic label placement machines.
More importantly, this visit also allowed the customer to experience and test our newly introduced automatic label placement machine for the first time. This machine is suitable for high-speed labeling of blueberry boxes. It not only precisely controls label position and angle, but also supports a variety of customized labeling requirements, such as QR codes, traceability labels, and anti-counterfeiting labels, helping the customer achieve comprehensive information management of their fruit products.
"Jiutai doesn't simply sell products; rather, by getting close to customers, we create products that are more relevant to the market and better understand farmers," said the head of Jiutai's marketing department. "This trip to Yunnan is an important implementation of our 'source-to-end' philosophy."

By integrating customized packaging, automated labeling systems, and environmentally friendly materials, we aim to create a collaborative intelligent packaging chain "from farmland to global markets," helping Chinese fruit reach the global market.
